The OMS SideStream with 27 lb (12.25 kg) buoyancy is a minimalist sidemount system that can be adjusted to the body length of the diver simply by adjusting the 5 cm webbing.
The SIDESTREAM27 has a back weight system that can hold up to 15kg of lead, a "buttplate" consisting of 2 staggered D-rings for cylinder brackets and 2 waist D-rings, as well as a redundant bladder with an inflatable mouth and special OPV.
Although sidemount diving was primarily developed by cave divers, many divers can easily see the benefits of streamlining a diving system for other "overhead" applications such as DPV racing and open ocean monkey diving.
